Magic Lid

The Magic Lid is a device which - literally - makes raising and lowering the lid of a grand piano a child's game: when correctly fitted to a piano, Magic Lid is so efficient a child could operate the lid in all safety.

The system is mounted on the rim of the piano and is compatible with most instruments. It is black in color to match most finishes, requires no drilling and will not damage the piano. It can easily be removed and re-installed should the piano need to be placed on it's side for transportation. It offers:

• Protection from injury/damage due to a lid fall or user regularly manipulating a heavy lid
• Great safety feature for homes with small children
• Better care of the instrument

Correctly installed, the lid of any piano can effortlessly be pushed up with one hand. The lid can be dropped from its high position and will come down in a pneumatic motion. If a hand got caught between the rim and lid of the piano, the pistons of the Magic Lid will work their magic and no one will get hurt.
